The Kingdom of Bhutan is located in South Asia in the eastern Himalayas. It is a Land locked country  bordered by China to the north and Indian in the east, west and south. Thimphu is the capital of Bhutan and is the largest city in the country. Bhutan is located between the longitudes 88 ̊ 45` and 92̊ 10’ east and latitude 26̊ 40’ and 28̊ 15’ north.

The Kingdom of Bhutan has a total area of approximately 38,394 km² and has a population of approximately 770,000 people.
