Description
Paro Tshechu is one of the most popular and biggest religious festivals in Bhutan. The festival was first initiated by Zhabdrung Ngawang Namgyel and the Ponpo Rigzin Nyingpo with the consecration of Paro Rinpung Dzong in 1644. The 5 day festival is observed in the honour of Guru Padmasambhava.
